The route Garganta de Loriga is a difficult hike to take, however, each step taken is worthwhile, as the unique landscapes are worth all efforts.
The Garganta de Loriga connects the upper plateau of the Serra da Estrela to the village of Loriga, these paths are still traveled today by the shepherds on the banks with their flocks.Throughout the tracking, we can observe traces of the last ice age, as well as four depressions, the covão Boieiro, the covão do Meio (dam), the covão da Nave and the covão da Areia.
