6 km from the city of Seia, 800 m above sea level, in a particularly pleasant place, on the banks of the river Alva, the Natural Electricity Museum is installed. It is the Senhora do Desterro Power Station, one of the oldest hydroelectric power stations in Portugal. It opened to the public on April 11th, 2011, it was transformed into a space that dates back to the beginnings of the exploitation of electricity in Portugal.
